OUR REVIEW
Breathless is the 3rd book in the Merciless series and
it picked up right where Heartless finished. The War is about to begin, Aria
needs to choose a side and Carters heart he didn’t know could love is being
shattered into a million pieces.
Aria knows she is dancing with death when her actions land her in
the middle of the War, loving both sides she doesn’t want blood shed for either
family involved. She has found her voice and is living up to her Talvery name. Trying
to stand her ground leads her to a place where she has no control and is left
fighting for survival. We start to see a side of Carter that we haven’t seen in
the 2 previous books, he is showing empathy something that Aria has coaxed to
surface. Carter needs to focus, he is full of dominance and fury. When the War
beings Carter can only hope that Aria will still love him when the bullets
stop.
Aria and Carter have a magnetic pull that brings them together and
every thing around them ceases to exist. While this book didn’t have as many
hot and heavy scenes together when they did they were off the charts.
I truly think Willow is trying to kill me with how she has left
Breathless on a cliff hanger. I am so desperate to find out what happens
between Carter and Aria I might possible resort to begging. Willow has slowly
showed us a side to both characters that have proved that they are stronger
than they thought they were.
I personally loved this book, I sat down and read it in 1 sitting.
If you have not read book 1 & 2 I highly recommend you do as Breathless
would make no sense to you. I noticed at the end of the book there is 1 book
left for Carter and Aria, Endless which I cannot wait for. I Hope they can find
their own version of a happily ever after.
