Our Reviews:
“Suspense and second chances, 5 stars”
In Vow of Atonement Renshaw takes you on one heck of a journey. You have two people who were meant to be together, but circumstances and misunderstandings tore them apart, then you have the danger surrounding them. Vow of Atonement will suck you in and won’t let you up until the very last page.
Harper knew love once and then a series of unfortunate events happened. She picked herself up and started all over. Now though someone is making claims she doesn’t believe, and she must ask the one person she thought she would never talk to let alone see again, Roman. The man who broke her heart. Will she fall in love with him or will her brain protect her heart?
Roman has only loved one woman but let her go because he didn’t want to hurt her. When Harper calls he drops everything and runs to her. The girl he loved is now a full-blown woman he plans on winning back no matter the cost. But what about the trouble she somehow found herself in? This stranger knows too much about both of them, so what does that mean?
These two were something else. The magnetic pull between them was undeniable and I loved it. I was rooting for Roman from the very first scene. The secondary characters were awesome as well and just pushed this story over the top. Vow of Atonement is one of those stories that you can go back and reread at a later date and love it just as much as you did the first time.

Twists and turns around every corner. Vow of Atonement surprised me. This story has a little romance, but it is mostly a big mystery with a lot of action. It was thrilling and kept me enthralled until the very end. This book seems like it might be a part of a series, but I am unsure. If it is, it can be read on its own as that is what I did.
The plot of this book was amazing. It has been a while since I read something that really kept me on the edge of my seat. This story is all about uncovering secrets buried decades before. It is also about reconnecting with your first love. I really enjoy the way the plot was written. I don’t want to say much more without giving anything away.
Harper is a strong, independent woman. I loved her attitude and spunk. I also loved how she attempted to stay independent even with an alpha male breathing down her neck. I respect that about her. Then you have Roman. Holy heck that man is hot. Ex-military, head of security firm, and he is fiercely protective? Sign me up. I love that he also has his own troubles in his head as well. I loved reading about him.
The heat between these two never died. They obviously had something special in high school that did not die with their years a part. It might have been put on ice, but Roman made sure to melt it quick as heck. These two are fiery when they get together. The emotions added in with the attraction they both have causes explosions left and right.
The writing style of this book was good. The pace was steady. The story is told from a dual point of view. I really liked how the author used flashbacks at points to give us pieces of their story before the present. I loved all the twists and turns. The mystery was perfect and just what the story needed.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. Roman was such an amazing alpha male. I would kill for one just like him. I would recommend this book to others. Especially if they like stories with romance, but also an underlying mystery and action. Great book.
