“second chance, 5 stars”


Cassie and Wes dated back in high school and much like a lot of high school relationships theirs went up in flames. Now Cassie is back in town. What she didn’t expect was for Wes to be there too. And of course he had to get better looking with time. After all this time will they fall into each other again and fall in love? Or did that flame burn out long ago?

Wes is all work and no play. He works hard because he knows what its like to go without and never wants to experience that again. When he sees Cassie his desire to settle down comes back full force. He wants her as much today as he did then. The only question is can he set aside his hurt to see that it was a simple misunderstanding?

I loved Cassie and Wes. She reminded him to take a step back and enjoy life rather than just work, work, and work. Wes was up for whatever Cassie has up her sleeve. These two had great chemistry and I enjoyed seeing some other Sweetbrair Cove couples. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
