Jock experienced an extreme loss years ago and never got over it. He went through the motions and buried the hurt. Now once again he loses someone else, he cares about and he’s thrown. When he meets Daphne, he wants her but its not just her. Can he let go of his past and move on or will he live in a constant state of limbo.
Daphne wants Jock but when a man flinches around your kid you know it’s not meant to happen. Slowly but surely Jock opens up about his past and expresses he wants to move on. The question is, can he? Will Daphne be able to help him mend the fences he burned? Only one way to find out.
I loved Daphne and Jock. They both had their own hang ups and hurts that they needed to work through. But in the end love wins. I love the way Foster writes couples; you can never go wrong with one of her stories.
