“Second chances, 5 stars”
I love Perry, I instantly one-click anything she writes. So when I saw Rifts & Refrains, it was a no brainer I was going to devour this bad boy. The story is very much Perry and her brand. Small town romance, but at the same time it’s not. Rifts & Refrains is so much more. Our amazing heroine Quinn moved away from her hometown and more than made herself. Her life style is unconventional, yet she wants nothing else. With the exception of Graham and his son. But she can’t have it all, right? Or can she?
I won’t get into all the nitty gritty. I don’t want to give too much about this book away. What I will say is it’s a standalone. Yes, it’s part of a series that three women each contributed a book to, but you don’t have to read all. Although now I fully intend to read the others. You will feel the longing rolling off the pages and your heart will stutter hoping these two get it all. Rifts & Refrains is an excellent escape from the real world, and right now I think we all need that.
