Our Review:

Explicit is the 3rd book in a standalone series on the Lancaster brothers, this book is follows the life of Pierce Lancaster. Explicit takes you on a rollercoaster ride of love, hate and broken families.

Pierce is the youngest, the wild party animal, the one that seeks out the attention by putting himself in very scandalous positions. He lives 2 very different lives, the one he shows the world and the broken man who hides away in his home. Lindsey’s life changed in an instant she sees herself as broken, Physical and mental scars that she believes will never heal. Lindsey takes control of her life and takes on her demon’s head on with the support of someone she never thought would understand or be there by her side. Could 2 broken souls come together and heal each other?

Pierce is the typical 3rd child, he has gotten away with everything and never been accountable for his actions. He is spoilt, rich and makes his own rules. Lindsey has had everything handed to her, her whole life. With a large bank account, she couldn’t care less about, all she wants is for her parents to be proud of her and love the person she is.

Pierce and Lindsey have had a tonne chemistry since the beginning. The way Peirce knows what Lindsey needs at any given time sexual or not makes him swoon worthy. Their friendship brings their level of intimacy to a higher level and makes their scenes together sizzle and you don’t want it to end.

Ava has absolutely smashed this book out of the park, this is by far my favourite Ava Harrison book. Pierces book brings so many emotions to light and takes you on a ride of twists and turns, which make you never want to put the book down or end. Ava switches between the two characters seamlessly knowing exactly when we need to hear from them, the book flows throughout effortlessly.

I could not wait to read about Peirce, I have read the previous books Clandestine and Sordid based on Spencer and Grant. Pierces character was always in the background waiting to tell his story, It was also fantastic to have Lindsey in the book as we got to meet her in Clandestine. If you are a lover of romance and a fantastically written book I suggest you read Explicit. I personally would read Clandestine and Sordid beforehand to get the backstory of their family dynamics.

I cannot wait to read what Ava released next.

Excerpt:

“Hey, I never got a taste,” Pierce exclaims.

“Oops.” I smile innocently. “There’s none left. Maybe next time.”

Before I know it, he’s leaning into me. Into my personal space, he’s so close I’m dizzy. Our gazes are locked. My breath comes out ragged and harsh from being this close to him. What is he doing?

He answers my unspoken question by taking my hand in his. My heart hammers heavily in my chest as it lifts. The feel of his fingers on me is hot and heady, the memories that are imprinted on my mind resurfacing to the forefront of my brain. I remember everything.

We stare at each other.

Neither speaking.

The seconds pass, but it feels like everything is on pause as I wait to see what he will do. The boys talking in the background is a steady buzz against the pounding in my chest.

He lifts.

Thud.

Closer.

Thud.

His tongue juts out, and he swipes the tip of my finger where the cream from the filling has collected. Before I can think, he places it in his mouth and eats the rest.

“Ewwwww,” rings out through the room. The sound of the boys gagging pulls me out of my haze.

“What are you doing?”

“Having dessert.” He winks. His emerald green eyes twinkling with mischief.

He’s too close. Too damn close. I remember what his lips feel like against my skin. Decadent. Like the first bite of a macaron.

Sinful.

I need to get away.
