TITLE - Mister Tonight
AUTHOR - Kendall Ryan
Blurb:
From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a standalone romance about a swoony single dad and the new neighbor he falls for.
Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.
I was that girl.
You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her thirtieth birthday with her two best friends—who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.
By reckless, I mean the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type—tall, dark, handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I’d had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I’m not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like french fries, so there’s that.
He took me home, and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life. Well, until it came to a screeching and rather unwelcome halt.
There’s nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking, “What are you doing to my daddy?”
Just kill me now . . . or so I thought.
Come to find out, the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.
Johnaka's Review:
“Can Mister Tonight turn into Mister forever? 5 stars”
Kate doesn’t think happily ever afters are possible. She thought her sister had the perfect marriage and that failed, her parents were a lost cause, so she knows relationships are not in her wheel house. Until she meets Hunter. There is just something about Hunter and his daughter Maddie that calls to her. Will she finally give the family idea a try or will she run before they give it a go?
Hunter is a single dad and he’s perfectly happy with that. Although sometimes it would be nice to have the attention of a woman. Hunter isn’t into one-night stands but when he meets Kate she makes it tempting, and then it goes all awry. What will happen when they find out Kate and his life are slightly entwined? Will they let their feelings take over or ignore them?
Mister Tonight went by in the blink of an eye. It was jam packed with awkward humor and made me smile. What more could you ask for in a book? These two were kind of a mess who were just trying to find their way.
