Fighting Irish is the perfect story to kick of a trilogy about a family. I loved the bits and pieces of Irish (or Gaelic to some of you) throughout the story. The bond between the siblings is fantastic. In the beginning of Fighting Irish, you see a peak into their childhood but then it turns focus on Rory, the oldest of the triplets.
Rory had big dreams when it came to his personal career. He was well on his way to achieving them too, but when your family needs you, you go. He took possession of his family’s camp and slowly but surely started to transform it into what he wanted. But to finish off his dream he needs more cash. When a ghost from his past comes back he pushes it to the side. Because for once he’s looking at his future in the personal sense.
Brittany loves love. She wants the white picket fence, loyal husband, and kids in the yard. But that hasn’t worked out for her and she feels like the clock is ticking. Brittany finally feels like she’s found the guy she’s with is the right choice. He can give her everything she wants. Then in walks a ghost of her past. Her teenage crush is now the guy who oversees her childhood summer camp.
Rory has a way of making Brittany take a good hard look into herself and start to question everything, and not in a bad way. He just doesn’t want to see her fail and let’s be honest he wants a shot. What starts out as a friendship slowly turns into more. Their relationship comes easy and they are both willing to fight for each other.
I loved Fighting Irish and I hope you will too.
