REVIEW - A Moment of Madness - Brooklyn Skye

A Moment of Madness (Boston Alibi, #2)

TITLE - A Moment of Madness
AUTHOR - Brooklyn Skye

BLURB:
Sailor Carlson comes back to Boston to make amends with her dad, only to find he passed away, and his bar, the Alibi, now belongs to a bearded, grumpy hottie. Mr. Hottie liked her enough for a night of nameless sex on the kitchen counter, but he wants nothing to do with her now he knows who she is.
Ryan Edwards has been running the Alibi for seven years. Being in a bar night after night means he's no stranger to one-night stands. But when the quirky, beautiful blonde he spent a hot night with shows up at his bar claiming it used to belong to her father, his guard goes right up.
Ryan's desperate for a waitress, and Sailor wants a chance to work in the place that meant so much to her dad. If only the tenuous trust they establish were as strong as the pesky attraction simmering between them.
Each book in the Boston Alibi series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.
Series Order:
Book #1 A Moment of Weakness
Book #2 A Moment of Madness

REVIEW:

“Right kind of wrong, 4 stars”

Sailor once was a stupid girl. She did what a lot of kids do and fell in with the wrong crowd. Sailor’s choices in life took her from the only man who ever loved her, her father. Now shes trying to right all the wrongs that she made, only she can’t. Sometimes you show up when its too late.

Ryan has been left behind by all the people he’s ever loved. With that said he now carries on a burden he never wanted. For as long as he could remember hes hated his late mentors daughter for the way she disowned her father. And when he finally meets the infamous Jenny, shes turns out to be Sailor the woman he has a thing for.

Sometimes life throws you a curveball when you least expect it. When together Sailor and Ryan act completely out of character with each other. Its attraction they want to ignore but cant. So what happens when you ser aside the madness?

I enjoyed Moment of Madness. I loved how Sailor was trying to redeem herself not in others eyes but her own. Ryan had a hard time setting aside the past, which was more than understandable. I would have too.
The only thing I didn't “like” was I wanted more of a conclusion. I wanted more from them. Between Sailor’s dog and both of their friends your bound to laugh. Take a dive into the madness.

Here are a couple quotes that I liked from Moment of Madness;

“I don’t want to get technical or anything , but according to chemistry alcohol IS a solution”

“If they were a blanket, it would be made of silk and cashmere and any other material that upon contact makes you want to strip off your clothes”

“Never in his life had he met someone that made him feel the way he did when he was with her.”
