I didn’t mean to kidnap the groom.
It was an accident.
At least I didn't take much time to plan it. It was more of a spur of the moment kidnapping. Does that count?
One minute, the town’s bad boy is standing at the altar about to marry the world’s most evil kindergarten teacher. The next, he’s passed out in my Vespa sidecar with his bride hot on our tail.
But I didn't have a choice! I couldn't stand by and watch Jace O’Dell be blackmailed into a loveless marriage. And besides, what’s a little kidnapping between friends?
Okay, so maybe we’re not just friends...
And maybe I can’t quit thinking about that night at his bar when he closed up early and had me on the rocks.
And maybe this crazy stunt is going to blow up in both of our faces.
If it does, I’m blaming the moonshine.
Even though the only thing I’m hammered on when it comes to Jace is love—straight up, nochaser.

Pippa Grant is a stay-at-home mom and housewife who loves to escape into sexy, funny stories way more than she likes perpetually cleaning toothpaste out of sinks and off toilet handles. When she’s not reading, writing, sleeping, or trying to prepare her adorable demon spawn to be productive members of society, she’s fantasizing about chocolate chip cookies.

Lili Valente has slept under the stars in Greece, eaten dinner at midnight with French men who couldn’t be trusted to keep their mouths on their food, and walked alone through Munich’s red light district after dark and lived to tell the tale.
These days you can find her writing in a tent beside the sea, drinking coconut water and thinking delightfully dirty thoughts.
“Back to Happy Cat, 4 stars”
Happy Cat is a town full of people who will keep you on your toes. Today everyone is watching Olivia and Jace. Two people who shouldn’t work but do. Although there is someone trying to keep them apart. Will the town hippie and the bad boy get their happily ever after or will Olivia have to kidnap herself a groom?
Hammered was laugh out loud worthy. I can always count on Grant and Valente making me laugh and coming up with some of the most ridiculous stories but making them sound legit. Like having a pet racoon that actually understands you and the town people just letting him do his thing. Or having an abandoned Clown school that is literally something out of my nightmares.
If you need a good laugh look no further. Just hold on to your pants because Hammered goes by fast in the best possible way.
Hammered is book 2 in the Happy Cat series and Grant & Valente takes you on a very crazy journey. Jace and Olivia are not a match which anyone saw coming but once they got together there was no denying their chemistry.
When Jace’s ex comes back into his life she stirs things up that don’t start to add up and Olivia is going to find out what that is. Olivia starts finding pieces of the puzzle, but is she able to stop the groom before he makes a mistake? When the crazy comes out to play you are left with a broken-down clown school, a racoon, kittens and a very cute hedgehog.
Hammered is told in dual POV and took me on a ride for sure; just when you think the Happy Cat couldn’t get any more bizarre; Grant & Valente prove you wrong.
I enjoyed reading this book and I feel that I now have a greater understanding of Racoons and how their minds work!
