HGTV’s Property Brothers meets The Marriage Bargain in this third volume in the Billionaire Builders series, an all-new, heart-wrenching, and sexy contemporary romance from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.

Tristan Pierce left the family business to carve out a life of his own, but never forgot his passionate affair with the much younger, inexperienced Sydney Greene, or the hurtful breakup that tore him apart. When he’s forced to return home and face his past, will he be able to carve out a future, or will lies ruin his second chance at love?

Sydney Greene loved Tristan her entire life but when he left, he took not only her heart, but her trust along with him. Now that they’re together again, it’s time they both face the biggest secret of all...

Our Review:

“Coming home, 4 stars”

Ahhhhhh Sydney and Tristan…. what to say, what to say. This was isn’t your typical second chance romance. Yes, there is a second chance and some surprises, but it’s different. Maybe that’s because there are no sweet words, yet you knew the love these two shared was real. I couldn’t stop reading wanting to know what would happen between these two.
Sydney has loved Tristan since she was a little girl. He has always been her one and only. Tristan never gave her a look or a chance until she was nineteen. She was ready for forever, but Tristan wasn’t. When he told her that he was leaving she had a choice to make. They say if you love someone set them free, and if they love you they will return. Sydney let the man she loved go and took her own journey through life, one filled with secrets.
Tristan didn’t want to return home, but when he did he was glad. He got to reconnect with his brothers, the only sour spot was seeing and working with Sydney every day. In his eyes she burned him, she moved on when he never really did. Tristan isn’t a man who says pretty words and ‘I love yous’. So, when he finally goes for Sydney again in adulthood he thinks commitment is enough, that it shows her he cares. But Sydney is the type of woman who needs to hear pretty words and ‘I love yous’ once in a while.
Tristan and Sydney navigating their relationship was like watching a bomb dog trying to find a bomb. You are on the seat of your chair and you want to look away but can’t. The only person Tristan was truly soft with was Sydney’s daughter. Which was its own kind of great. I wanted more from him, but liked him. I liked him but wanted to strangle him. I didn’t want the story to end.
