BLURB:

I don’t have a damn thing in common with the beautiful rich girl who walks into my bar; she’s southern class, fancy cars, and designer shoes.

I’ve got a drunk for a mother, a cheater for a father, and a reputation for trouble I’ve more than earned.

I look the other way, pretending I don’t notice how perfect she is. She wouldn’t give me the time of day anyway. Until she shatters that first impression and shows me she’s so much more—everything I never thought I deserved.
After a lifetime of being a disappointment, I want to prove to her that I’m better than my past.
We have one tragic thing in common, and the thread that binds us together will tear us apart as it unravels.
Are we strong enough to break through The Bars Between Us?

REVIEW:

“Lies exposed, 3 stars”

Grace is finally starting her life as an adult after graduating college. Her childhood was rocky, but she got through the heartache with her head held high. Grace was taught to be the proper southern woman when she feels anything but. When her first job assignment takes her to a small town along the coast she’s thrilled and little does she know it's where she will find love.

Bronn has always had a troubled life since birth. According to the townspeople, it doesn’t matter how good he actually is, sins of a parent and all that jazz. When a sassy woman in pearls sits down at his bar, his life is tossed upside down. She’s everything he’s not and it makes him want her more. Bronn has to learn how to navigate a relationship with Grace and when things start to look up it all comes crashing down when they find out their pasts are connected.

I liked the plot of The Bars Between, but for me some parts were slow and I couldn’t really get into it. I don’t know if it was me or if it was the book but I couldn’t get lost with these two.

Here are two quotes though that I liked from The Bars Between;

“She was the ocean, wild and free, with a depth that I couldn’t fathom, full of mysteries that may never be solved.”

“And if there was anything that I knew, it was that life, and love especially, was never easy.”
