TITLE - Wicked Intentions
AUTHOR - J.T. Geissinger
BLURB:
Ex special-ops officer and security expert Ryan McLean is getting a much-needed vacation. In the Caribbean for his best friend's wedding, his plans include nothing more strenuous than working on his tan. But when he meets a beautiful woman in the hotel bar, their connection is immediate and intense, and they spend a passionate night together with pleasure as their only goal.
Until Ryan wakes the following morning to discover the beautiful woman has vanished, along with millions worth of jewels from the safe of the Saudi prince staying in the suite next door. Realizing he was duped, Ryan becomes determined to find the mystery woman and bring her to justice. If only he could forget how explosive their chemistry was, how her kisses drove him wild like no other woman before.
A notorious thief known to authorities only as the Dragonfly, Mariana Lora only has one more score to settle until she can retire, but the sexy-as-hell Marine she spent one explosive tropical night with is hot on her heels at every turn. She has to outwit him to stay out of jail, but fighting their magnetic attraction soon becomes a game neither one of them can resist.
When Mariana’s last job goes dangerously wrong and she needs Connor’s help to survive, he has to decide if their game of cat and mouse is only a game, or if he can trust this beautiful thief with something no woman has ever stolen: his heart.
REVIEW:
“Mercenary + Thief= Love, 5 stars”
Good Lord, I don’t even know where to start with this
review. Geissinger wrote this crazy book that it almost feels like if I tell
you one thing then I will tell you too much. At the same time, I want to tell
you everything that happened in Wicked Intentions because it was crazy,
slightly suspenseful, intense, and completely time consuming. Wicked Intentions
should come with a warning label telling you that if you cant sit down and read
in one sitting then hold off. Once it’s in your hands you won’t want to put it
down until the very end. Wicked Intentions is probably my favorite Geissinger
book to date, seriously just go one-click.
Mari goes by many names, she wears many hats, but that’s what
international thief’s do right? She’s wanted internationally for the heists she
pulls off, but she plans to never get caught. She’s paying a debt to protect
someone she cares about, to keep them safe she keeps taking jobs from a
monster. One day she sets her eyes on a man who will give her access to
something she needs. Only Mari gets way more than she bargained for.
Ryan knew she was a liar from the moment she opened her
mouth. He wouldn’t hold it against her, he understood that everyone has
secrets. With that said he could see the sadness lurking behind her eyes and
wanted to make her smile. It didn’t take him long to realize she’s the kind of
woman he needs by his side forever. Only Mari is a little slippery.
In Wicked Intentions you cross borders, go on heists, get
taken hostage, go free falling, and fall in love all at once. Ryan and Mari kind
of have that insta-love, but it took time for them to actually get it together.
There are so many obstacles standing in your way you hold your breath around
every corner.
I absolutely loved it. I highlighted so many pieces of the story it was hard for me to decide what to share in my review, so here is a few that my son randomly pointed at off my list;
I absolutely loved it. I highlighted so many pieces of the story it was hard for me to decide what to share in my review, so here is a few that my son randomly pointed at off my list;
“There is something seriously wrong with you, Ryan McLean,
are you aware of that?” “Yeah, but you still think I’m cute. Which means there’s
somethin’ seriously wrong with you. Which makes us a perfect match.”
“I’d never spent time considering what my dream woman would
be like, but apparently she’s on Interpol’s Most Wanted list.”
“It makes my heart take off like a rocket, that sweet little
sound. I love it the way I love football and barbeques and fireworks on the
Fourth of July. The way I love Thanksgiving and Buzz Lightyear and guns with
high-capacity magazines. I love it like it’s a religion.”
“I fall in love with him the way the dying give up their
last breath: irrevocably, with both hope and terror for what lies on the other
side.”
