Blurb:
Ben Miller met the love of his life the day he crossed paths with Elle James in their high school cafeteria. New to Beaumont, he took a chance when he approached her. Their first encounter was everything his mother ever read to him about fairy tales. He saw the girl who would be his forever.
From the moment Elle James met Ben Miller they’ve been best friends. Everything they did, they did it together, from late night study sessions, family vacations, throwing bottles off the water tower, going to prom and finally moving to California for college.
However, after the almost tragic accident where she nearly lost her twin sister, Elle’s life hasn’t been the same, and neither has her relationship with Ben.
One fateful decision changes the scope of Ben and Elle’s relationship. For one, it means a new beginning. For the other, it means change.

Our Review:

“Title explains it all, 5 stars”

If you’ve read the Beaumont series then you’ve known Elle since she was little. You knew her as a cute little preppy girl who has now turned into a disaster of a woman. Something in the past changed her and now she’s having problems coping and finding her former self. Elle surrounds herself with those who really don’t care about her and has no interest in what her best friend or family say. Then one night sets off a series of events she never saw coming, will she be able to hang on?
Ben has been in love with Elle for years and would do anything for her. But after what he would a nightmare he never saw coming he decides to start living for himself and not Elle. What will he do if Elle fights to hold on.
This is a classic unrequited love story. Elle had no idea her best friend was in love with her until it was almost too late. I love how Elle was able to see the sacrifices Ben had made for her and was willing to start making some for her. It was fun to watch them change but also nice to get to hangout with some of the characters that made us fall in love with this series. I cannot wait to see what McLaughlin does with Quinn’s story.
