Rose has one love and that’s her daughter. Too bad when she divorced her husband his attorney was a little too good at his job and her controlling ex got their daughter. Two weeks a month is no where near enough time. As a psychologist herself she knows something is going on in her ex’s house. When her ex’s attorney shows up on her patient doc at the rehab clinic, she works for she doesn’t know if she will be able to keep her opinion from rubbing off onto him.
Pearson has a problem. A drug problem that started after a surgery. Now that he’s clean or in the process of being clean he’s seeing things with a whole new light. After learning how he wronged Rose and her sweet girl he begins to wonder how many other people he wronged. On the course of helping Rose get her daughter he falls in love with her and her daughter. But will they get the happily ever after they both crave?
Rose is the silent strong type. She’s just trying to heal after enduring years of abuse. Pearson is struggling, not only with his addiction and trying to get sober but with the fact that his job and life lead him down that road. Rose is everything good. She’s the free spirit to his serious. They balance each other flawlessly.
I love how Hargrove covered addiction and the recovery process. This book may have triggers for some so proceed with caution.
