Our Review:

The Fallback is a 2nd chance romance with a little bit of everything, a great read from a new to me author.

Brooke is a highly sought-after wedding planner and newly single after finding her long-term boyfriend in their bed with another woman she is ready to move on and start her own adventure, finding herself and learning how to go about life. Cue in the gorgeous and sweet Levi, she decides to include him in trying out new adventures, when Brooke connects the dots, she is left struggling with her new-found feelings and how this will impact her work, mainly her Boss.

Levi and Brooke were fantastic characters in this book and I loved that Brooke was able to dust herself off and start again, it takes a lot of strength and confidence. Levi knew what he wanted form the start and was persistent; he wasn’t giving Brooke up for anything. I also really enjoyed the 2 minor characters; Felicity is a best friend that everyone needs in their lives and while Catherine had outrageous requests and demanded a lot of attention in the end, she had a good heart and was trying to love Brooke the only way she knew how.

This is my first Dietz book and I personally loved every page, her dual POV is always a big win for me knowing what everyone is feeling it gives you a fuller picture. While this story is a 2nd chance romance it is also about finding yourself and going after what you want in life.
I look forward to reading more from Dietz in the future.

About the Book:
Breaking up is hard to do.
It's even harder when you're not expecting it.

Brooke Jensen is a planner. Not only in her personal life but also professionally as one of the most sought after event planners in Chicago.

But, when the ideal life she built for herself, complete with handsome, long-term boyfriend and perfect apartment crumbles, she realizes there are some things you just can’t plan for.

While trying to start anew from her best friend's guest room and discovering the best doughnuts in the city, an idea sparks to life when she meets Levi. He's intriguing, funny, and shockingly good-looking, and what had been a few stray thoughts becomes a new passion for Brooke, a blog detailing learning how to be single. The project introduces Brooke to new people and experiences, and keeps returning her back to Levi.

But, Brooke learns kismet may have been wrong when she learns Levi is the last person she should be interested in.

Falling for the wrong guy once has Brooke hesitant to start a new relationship, but Levi is quickly proving that The Fallback might be even better.
