Release Blitz & Review - I Wanna Text You Up - Teagan Hunter

Title: I Wanna Text You Up
Author: Teagan Hunter
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release: February 1, 2018

Blurb:

When I put up a ROOMMATE WANTED poster, he was the last person on earth I thought would respond.

He was also the last person on earth I’d agree to let live with me…on purpose.

But, here we are—roommates. I’m certain we can coexist without it being awkward, and I’m determined to make it work. There will be no sexual tension building with each accidental touch, no flutters when he wears that stupid backward baseball cap, and definitely no flirting when we text back and forth.

Caleb Mills can’t be the guy for me. He’s my best friend’s ex-boyfriend.

And that would be wrong…right?

Our Review:

Ahhhh! Give me more now! This author has taken me by storm. Her first book, Let’s Get Textual blew my mind, but this one took it over the top! If you like witty romances, then this is the book for you. Be prepared to be laughing within the first chapter. I hope that we get more books like this in the future.
I will be honest. I was worried about this book. The first one was such a hit that I didn’t think she would be able to replicate it. Oh boy was I wrong. This book is on it’s own playing field. This book follows two of the minor characters from the first book. The texting portion is a huge part of this book as well, but in a completely different way than it was in the first book. I feel like this is an innovative way to connect with readers. I also love that it is so realistic to our world today.
So I loved Zoe from the very first book. She is a spunky chick with a lot of ambition. I love her personality. Like seriously, can she be my best friend? Then we have Caleb. He is a little heart throb. I really liked him from the first book as well, but I was surprised at the depth brought to his character in this book. He is way more than just a cute jock.
I loved these two characters together. They started on a journey that neither one of them really expected. I love the flirting and slow burn that comes from books written like this. Adding the texting in, adds another dynamic to the heat in the book. It is a whole other world for flirting and often times one is more likely to be bold when in text form. I love that this book shows that.
The writing style is much like the first book. The pace is steady and the development is done wonderfully. I loved each and every character in this book. I also loved the use of the texting in another setting. It was wonderful to see how versatile texting can be when writing about characters. I cannot wait to see what this author comes up with next.
Overall, this book was phenomenal. If I could reread it with fresh eyes, I would jump at the chance. As it stands now, I cannot go back and reread it to pick up on little things I might have missed. Teagan Hunter is quickly securing a spot in my top 5 favorite authors. If you haven’t started this series yet, you are truly missing out.

Author Bio:

By day I’m a freelance cover designer. By every other free moment, a writer. I’m a Missouri raised gal, but I currently live in North Carolina with my US Marine husband where I spend my days begging him for a cat. I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I’m not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I’ll ever read, and I never say no to brownies.
