OUR REVIEW:

What can I say about Possess me? It was an okay book. I really had higher expectations for it and I just felt it didn't get there for me. With that being said, I was able to read the whole book and it did have some enjoyable parts. This book has a lot of heat in it. It is a romance novel.

The plot of this book is what made me want to read it. Man rescues woman from fire. Will this event make them fall in love or are they destined to crash and burn? The idea really interested me. I was excited to see where it went. Unfortunately, for me, it didn't work out. I just didn't feel like the plot was cohesive enough.
The characters in this book were just okay as well. Morgan came off as arrogant and selfish. That is not bad in a book, but I don't feel like he had enough in him to redeem himself in my eyes. This is why I couldn't get behind him. Ellie I really wanted to like. She had some spunk and a hard working ethic, but I feel like she caved to Morgan when she shouldn't have. It made me change my view of her character.
The heat in this book was there though. The scenes between these two where they were between the sheets was perfect. It was dirty and naughty just like I like it. This is one part of the book I couldn't find a complaint about. Good job here.
The writing style of the book was much like the rest of the book. The pace was steady. The actually sentences and such were written well. I just felt this book missed the mark on content. I also didn't like how it was dual point of view, but the author sometimes referred to the character in third person. It confused me.
Overall, this was an okay book. I don't think I would be picking it up to read it again, but it did have some redeeming qualities. I think that a lot of other people will really enjoy this book, but it was a miss for me personally. I really hope the author continues writing and wish them nothing but success.
