BLURB:
She wants to see him get wild and he thinks she needs Jesus.

When AJ Adams is coerced into tutoring Brock Larson, she can’t help but wonder what she’s done to deserve such an epic punishment. He’s the very definition of an All-American good boy—and a total kiss ass. He’s the perfect son, the perfect student, and according to rumor, by far the best golfer the university has ever seen. Puh-lease. If he’s so perfect, why does he need tutoring?

With his British Literature grade circling the drain, Brock knows he needs help. But when he meets his tutor, he can’t believe his friggin’ luck. Abby Jane no longer resembles the childhood best friend he used to play hide and seek with. No, she’s all attitude and pink hair and tattoos. Oh, and she hates him, so that’s a plus.

Brock and AJ couldn’t clash more and antagonizing one another is just too easy. But, as they spend more time together, the lines begin to blur, leading them to realize they have more in common than what meets the eye.

Hate. Lust. Love. They all look the same when you’re in denial, and everyone knows you can’t control your rebel heart.

OUR REVIEW:
Good college romance novel. Rebel Heart is a good college romance novel. It is a stand-alone novel as far as I am aware. There was a set up for a second novel, but I am unsure if that is the plan or not. This was a good representation of a college romance.  It also involves sports which is good as well.
The plot of this book was interesting. It was an enemies to lovers meets jock vs nerd book. It was interesting to have these two characters have a history from their childhood. I also loved how the author went about revealing the plot little by little. The plot was what I expected.
AJ is an amazing character. She is colorful and brazen. I loved the feisty attitude and her lack of caring about what others think about her. Most find this unrealistic because they cannot find that same peace, but I personally live my life the same exact way. I could see myself in her. Brock was a good character as well. He had some issues to overcome, but I liked seeing his strength. It is hard to remain strong when so many forces are against you.
The heat in this book was good. The characters had a nice build up to the heat. I liked how the past intertwined with the presence and added to that heat. The chemistry between these two was tangible. I liked how the author was able to add in the heat in an organic fashion, so it did not feel rushed or prolonged.
The writing style of this book was okay. I liked the story and characters, but for me, personally, I felt it was a little predictable. That is not really a bad thing. A lot of great stories are predictable. I just wanted to point that out as I noticed it. I really liked the world that was created. I felt invested in these characters and the story. I also enjoyed the minor characters.
Overall, this was a good novel. Everything fell into place the way it should. I would recommend this book to others who like college romances. It will keep you entertained and give you that little bit of romance that you are craving. There is also plenty of drama and conflict. Great story.
