Review - Ugly Love - Colleen Hoover
Finally I have read this book. I started it back in October but couldn't finish it, due to other reading commitments, so I decided it was time I finished it, after hearing such great things about it.
Well, it was an incredibly good read. Obviously, being that it is a Colleen Hoover book, and I wouldn't expect anything less. I managed to finish it in one sitting, and couldn't put it down.
Although it wasn't quite as gripping as Hopeless, or Maybe Someday but it was still a really incredible and additive read.
Tate is a student nurse, moving in with her brother, who is a pilot, until she can get herself sorted.
Miles is her brothers friend. He too is a pilot and lives in the apartment opposite.
Right from the start, when they meet in a very unusual but funny circumstance, we find that Miles is troubled. He is gorgeous, but quiet and serious and seems to have a lot going on in his head.
Through a series of meetings, it's obvious there is huge amounts of chemistry between them, but all is not straight forward and simple.
They both decide to act on the intense attraction, but Miles' conditions are firm. She can't ask about the past, and she can never ask for a future.
So basically they can be f*** buddies. And wow what a buddy Miles would appear to be. The time they spend together, is incredibly hot, and it's obviously not just sex between them. They are far too good together for it to be just that.
Things get incredibly complicated, and secrets start to unravel and reveal.
Very sad, emotional, intense, and gripping.
I loved this book, and was not disappointed in the slightest. I will definitely be excited to see what comes of the film.
5 stars.
