Release + Review - Boss of Me - Tia Louise

They warned me not to take this job.
They said you were ruthless, impossible to please…
I said I was better than them.
I wouldn’t fall for your charm, your arrogance, or how sexy you fill out that suit.
I wouldn’t fall for your deep brown eyes or the way that muscle moves in your square jaw when you’re pissed.

I said I could resist you.
I was wrong...

(BOSS OF ME is a STAND-ALONE workplace, military romance with a badass alpha boss and the feisty woman who steals and heals his heart.
No cheating. No cliffhangers.)

Johnaka's Review
“Who’s the boss? 4 stars”

Raquel is fresh out of college with her MBA and starting a job with Fletcher International. Her sister used to work there and warned her that her boss is a big butthead. Raquel doesn’t care though she’s excited to get started even if she’s working for the devil. What she didn’t expect was to be attracted to the devil. Will she be able to hide her attraction to him or will she let her feelings show?

Patton is all work and no play. He’s trying to make a better life for his former military team members after a mission gone wrong. But he feels like he’s failing and the last thing he needs is a woman. Raquel though makes it impossible to walk away. Will he be able to balance his personal life and his professional life?

I liked Boss of Me. The chemistry between Raquel and Patton was undeniable. The banter back and forth was on point. Then you have the secondary characters that range from hot mess, has their life together, to a person who learns everything via youtube. If you want a quirky romance look no further. Louise out did herself. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because I had no problem setting it down for a while between chapters.

Louise's Review
Boss of Me is a standalone office romance, walking into a office filled dominantly with men and a snippet of history from her sister Raquel aka Rocky goes against everything and falls for her boss.

Patton is dedicated to his job, he is out to prove to his father that taking the company international was the right choice as well as having his old team members be part of the company, even if that means covering for them. Raquel knew something happened with her sister but she has never pushed to find out what, when all the secrets are on the table where do they all land?

I won’t deny that Patton and Raquel have chemistry, it’s there; but I personally felt like that I was thrown around with the roller coaster of emotions throughout this book. I was baffled a bit by the epilogue and how everything played out.

While this installment from Tia wasn’t my favorite I look forward to more work from her in the future.
