Release + Review - Just Roommates - Charity Ferrell

The first time we meet, I’m eighteen, and he kicks me out of his bar.
Two years later, he does it again.

Maliki Bridges is the town’s hottest bartender.
He thinks I’m a spoiled rich girl.
I think he has a stick up his ass.
Once I’m old enough to drink, we become friends.
Nothing more ...

Until we become roommates.
It’s a bad idea, moving in with him, but any opportunity I get to be around him I’ll take.
Consequences be damned.

Louise's Review

Just Roommates is book 5 in the Blue Beech series, Malik is the hottest bar owner in town, he also isn’t stupid; when he catches Sierra in his bar underage, he throws her out, they continue this dance for the next several years.

Their timing was never perfect and when Sierra finds herself in a predicament Malik is the one who comes to the rescue giving her someone where to stay and feel safe. When 1 thing leads to another has their time finally come?

I personally really enjoyed reading these 2, I wanted to slap both characters throughout hoping to knock some sense into them but in the end they found their true north. I highly recommend that you go back and read from the beginning as all of Ferrell’s books in this series have been great.

Johnaka's Review
“Opposites attract, 5 stars”

Sierra has been sneaking into Maliki’s bar since she turned eighteen, there’s nothing else to do in a small town after all. Everyone’s always talked about the hot bartender and Sierra can’t help but agree. She loves sneaking in and having witty banter back and forth with him. Slowly but surely Sierra gets older and when she turns twenty-one there is no denying the chemistry. But Sierra knows there’s no chance Maliki would give her a shot so she will take his friendship. Until he bangs down her door..

Maliki shouldn’t have found her attractive when she was eighteen but he did. Every time she comes in he can’t help but smile. Over time their friendship evolves. There’s no way Sierra would ever give him a shot even though he would love it. And when a man in Sierra’s life betrays her, he’s there to pick up the pieces of his best friend. What if this is their time? Will he get the girl he’s wanted for years? Or will his past come back to bite him?

I freaking loved Maliki and Sierra. The dynamic between these two was on freaking point. There were times I wanted to punch Sierra in the face but at the same time I understood where she stood. Same with Maliki. Neither character is perfect but they are perfect for each other. I think if you take a chance on Just Roommates you won’t regret it.
