Our Review:
I loved this book! It was such a fun and fantastic read about two people who take a desperate situation and make the best of it...and then it turns out in the very best way...a Romance Happily Ever After! I've read Big Deck by Remy Rose first, and while it was good, I felt this book was so much better. It played out a bit like a Gilmore Girls episode: hot men with adorable and awkward but still strong women, and a lot of fast paced fantastic dialogue with an intriguing surprising backstory.
Damon has a controlling mother that is making his life hard. Delaney has a past that makes relationships hard. Both are in a tough spot and not happy with their lives. So they start a fake relationship that benefits them both. But will it turn into more? I thoroughly enjoyed the plot set up. We had met Delaney in “Big Deck” the Big Sexy Series Book 1, and she was such a big, brash, bold character that I couldn't wait to see more of her, and what remarkable young man would take her on. It was just all so well done!
I loved these characters! Delaney started out as wonderful best friend in Book 1, and I was so glad to see her getting a happily ever after in Book 2. She's a hard working girl (despite hating her job) who has a dream but is struggling to make it happen. She's bold but hesitant due to some past that is laid out in such a poignant way. Damon is the best rich book boyfriend! He's a genuinely good guy, with money to spare, but a mother that has some issues that wreak havoc on his life. It all blended and meshed into the most amazing plot!
If we had paid attention, the characters met in Book 1... Subtle, but I loved the way all the details flowed from one book to the next! Well done Ms. Rose! So we know they're attracted, and then Mr. Sexy Rich Man makes Delaney's dreams start coming true while being a fake girlfriend... Despite the fake aspect, they slowly build a real relationship, with real trust and real emotions. Delaney is slow to let it turn to more, but Damon pulls it out of her, and her heart leads her down some sexy roads!
Sexy Mother Faker had a most interesting blurb that first caught my attention, then the story and characters drew me in for a fast read! I was drawn the the beautiful Maine setting (gonna have to put that on my travel bucket list!). The author did a great job of writing the characters and creating a whimsical yet realistic plot that was a delight to read!
This book was just super fun to read. It made me smile for the fun details (Tucker, the Lou and Stu show, Portia, to name a few). I liked the first book good, but this one knocked it out of the park! Can't wait to see who Book 3 is about!

By day, Remy Rose is a pure-as-snow teacher, but by night, she tucks the teacher away to release her alter ego of romance author. Remy shares many things about her outside life with students, but this isn’t (ever going to be) one of them.
