Fallen
Natasha Grace
Blurb
After finding out that her husband of three years has been cheating on her, the only thing recently widowed Samantha Collins wants to do is to put her old life behind her. The first thing on the checklist? To sell her husband's share of the hedge fund he started with his best friend.
Only Luke Darren has different plans.
More comfortable with running the day-to-day operations of the firm, Luke has always stayed in the background, letting Jason become the face of the company. But now that Jason's gone, clients have been leaving in droves. The last thing he needs is for Samantha to leave as well. It would be the last straw for the customers who were already on the fence about pulling their money out and Luke couldn't risk that.
But soon, working with Samantha is wrecking his concentration. He's been in love with her for years and with Jason no longer in the way, being friends just isn't enough and he soon finds himself wanting more!
Fallen is a stand-alone novel.
Our Review
Fallen is the first book in the Billionaires of Manhattan and my
first Natasha Grace read, I really enjoyed this book as it was a great 2nd
chance love novel and easy to read.
Samantha thought she had the perfect marriage they balanced work
and their personal life together, then her husband was killed in a car
accident. When she restart’s her life, she finds out that Luke Darren her
husbands business partner never lied to her, her husband was a cheater.
Samantha wants nothing to do with the company she grew to love and asked Luke
to buy her out, selling their home and donating numerous items to charity, all
reminders of her late cheating husband. Luke is hiding a secret one that he has
held onto for years, now is his chance to lay it all out on the table.
I really liked Samantha, she held her head high and even though
she held herself back in fear of having her heartbroken she didn’t let the past
destroy her. Luke was selfless in way and selfish at the same time, he was a
gun in his professional life but was soft and loving when the appropriate time
came.
They have chemistry, I don’t think they both realised how much
until they came together. It is one thing to fantasise about it but acting it
out can change everything and these two didn’t disappoint.
I found Natasha to be on point with every part of this book, I
loved that there was obstacles and small doses of drama to keep me turning the
page. Having both POV’s is always a bonus in my eyes, I love reading what the
characters are feeling and how they are processing each moment.
I personally really liked this book and if you are looking for a 2nd
chance romance that is down to earth and has that warm fuzzy feeling when you
turn the last page, this is the book for you. I cannot wait to see who is the
next lucky Billionaire of Manhattan to grace the pages of the next book.
