BLURB

Ryan
I missed home.
I missed my crazy family.
But I needed to get away for a while.
Figure out who I was. Where I belonged.
When I packed my bags and moved to Melbourne I had no plans.
I just needed time and space.
I didn’t count on meeting that one person who could change my life.
The one person who could help me break free.

Alex
My family sucked ass.
Except for my brother.
He was all I had these days, at least in terms of family.
In every other part of my life though, I was killing it.
My business was booming. I had great friends who I partied Saturday nights away with.
Then Ryan stumbled into my life.
I thought I had my shit together, until he upended my world.
He changed me.

Our Review
Another amazing book in this series. I enjoyed Breaking Free. I have been following this series from the beginning, so I was excited to read this next book. This book is a stand-alone in a series, but can be read alone.  This book is about Ryan, which if you read the other books, you have met him. I will say that you have hints to how his book will go if you read Holly’s book.

The plot of this book is interesting. I feel it is important to say that this is a M/M book. Just in case that is not something you enjoy. With that being said, I really enjoyed this book. Each character has their own demons they are facing. If I would have to pick a main theme, it would be that everyone has issues. How you face those issues is what makes you who you are.
I love Ryan. He has a lot of stuff going on in his life, but he still has a good heart. My heart really ached for him many times in this book. He is such a good person, but he had some tough things to deal with. Then there is Alex. I pretty much liked him from word go. He is such a strong character, even when he is facing troubles of his own. I loved how he was there for Ryan. Even when things weren’t great, he still did the right thing and helped someone in need.
The heat between these two is there. I liked watching these two go from just a hook-up and venture into a more permanent area. The scenes between these two was amazing. Their relationship, while rocky, also steamed up the pages at times. I really enjoyed that about this book.
The writing style of this book follows the rest of the books in the series. I liked the dual point of view. The pace of the book was steady. I liked that we got to see other minor characters from previous books. It also set up the next book nicely. I really enjoyed the tough situations and serious topics discusses.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. So far, I have been loving this series. I really enjoyed all the characters and drama involved. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. Zoe is such a big part of this series and I am waiting desperately for her to get her own book.
Ratings:

AUTHOR BIO

I’m just me. A clumsy, introverted, bubble bath loving, chocoholic who would rather read a book than go shopping. And god forbid if you try and make me shoe shop!

I’m one of four kids to school teacher parents. A wife to a football obsessed husband. Mother to a fur-baby who isn’t aware of how big he is. Aunt to the most crazy/adorable little girls. And sister to two very determined sisters and one easy going brother.

I live in Canberra Australia and work too many hours a day at my day job.

I’m a book whore who can easily (and happily) read a book from start to finish in a day and when I do have spare time, you’ll find me in the writing cave.
