REVIEW - Going for the Hole - L.P Dover

TITLE - Going for the Hole
AUTHOR - L.P. Dover

Blurb:

Grip it softly.
Stroke it smooth.
And you’ll sink right into the hole.

That’s my motto both on and off the golf course. The women come in full supply everywhere I go and there are no complaints. Maybe it’s the size of my driver that gets them going.

I’m Lucas “Ace” Montgomery, professional golfer and world record holder for the longest drive in golf history. The PGA Tour has been my life, but it’s time for a break. A few relaxing weeks of drinking and golf with friends in Myrtle Beach is what I need. However, when a bright pink ball knocks me out on the course, and a blonde beauty comes to my aid, I expect to see a gallery girl, a.k.a a member of the Party Groupie Association. Trust me, those girls know how to have fun. Although, to my surprise, it’s not what I get at all.

Dr. Ashley Locke is beautiful and everything I’d want if I was ever to get serious about someone. Unfortunately, she has no interest in me whatsoever which only makes me want her more. All she wants is to get through her friend’s bachelorette weekend and go back to her life, but after injuring me on the course, I’m not letting her run away so easily. When I want something, I get it.

I’m not competing for money this time. All I want is to win her heart.

Johnaka's Review:

“Finding love while on vacation, 5 stars”

Dover has a way with making her readers fall in love with the characters right off the bat. Every single one brings something new to the table. Lucas and Ashley do just that. I laughed during Going for the Hole and at times cringed. I was engaged the whole time and devoured it in one sitting. If you’re looking for a fun romance with a side of sports look no further.

Lucas golfs in the PGA and is finally starting to feel the burn, and not the good kind. The kind where you start to feel like the tournaments are work and your not having any fun. That’s why he decided to make a change and go on vacation with his brother and best friend. what he didn’t expect was to find Ashley. Will he get the girl or will something derail his game?

Ashley is all work and no play. But her future sister-in-laws bachelorette party proves to be the perfect kind of play. Especially when she meets Lucas. She only plans on one night, but she gets a whole lot more. Will her best laid plans and reputation come burning down because of Lucas? Or will he prove to be the best thing that ever happened to her?

These two were the best sort of opposites. Lucas reminded Ashley what it was like to have fun and take risks and she proved to him that serious and settled down were in his wheel house of possibilities. Basically, right off the bat after these two met they were serious. It was kind of insta-love but one that they made wait to come to complete fruitation at the end. I loved these two’s journey and hope to get another sneak peek later.
