Review: Finally

Finally
Finally by J.B. Wayne

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

I found this was quite a nice, easy read. A totally different story to what I've read before. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I liked that it was different so wanted to give it a go. It started off touching on some really sad issues that made me think it was going to go a different way than it actually did. After the initial start and the background issues to which this story is based around, the rest of the story takes a lighter turn. It follows Emerson and Rogue getting to know each other, trust each other and find happiness in the things they do. A combination of things from both Emerson's bucket list and Rogues too. Those parts are sweet and easy to read. The fact that Rogue talks like he grew up in the 70's was quite interesting, funny in parts yet sometimes strange. I love how their friendship developed from the start. Emerson had her traumatic past which accounts for a lot of things that happen to her at the start. I found myself thinking of ways for the 2 of them to have their HEA at the end, baring in mind they are supposed to part ways at the end of 5 days. Yet for all my internal scheming and ideas, it didn't actually go the way I thought. If anything I was a little disappointed, although everyone was happy, I think I was hoping for a little magic. Above all a good, quick read that I enjoyed.
