Review: Breathless

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Well this is one of those books that one minute you don't like it then just as quickly you love it.
I was convinced that I couldn't get into the book, and didn't find myself being sucked in. It had something missing that I couldn't put my finger on. I did find that the writing sometimes borderlined on a bit cheesy and fake and it was making it hard to like the main characters. I couldn't get excited about it.
But and it's quite a big but, about 90% through it suddenly started becoming a really good read and I was getting sucked in at last. It seemed like all the good stuff had been saved for the end and it all poured out really fast.
Killer cliff hanger that's now made me desperate to read book 2. So it did liven up quite a bit and I'm glad I read it.
