Review: The Story of You and Me: a love story
The Story of You and Me: a love story by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
***I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
This book was so endearing and heartwarming at the same time as being light, breezy and easy reading.
It managed to be so many things and had me feeling so many different emotions whilst reading that I would normally say it's confusing. It absolutely wasn't, it was such an easy read and had a great feel good ending.
With Sophie moving to LA to take part in a stem cell study for any help with her early diagnosis of MS or her grandmothers long term suffering of it, it has a sad and moving undertone to the story. Sometimes I felt really sad and frustrated for her. Yet after meeting Alejandro, a gorgeous guy with his own baggage and secrets plus some other people along the way. I realised it's not all sad she's living her life with some great things happening for her.
Aside from the main storyline, I really enjoyed the background to this book. The places were gorgeous yet real and not everything is perfect. The humour was great and gave me some giggles. The relationship between Sophie and Alex was really sweet yet they bounced off each other perfectly.
This book made me think a lot about all sorts of things, yet also was light hearted and sweet enough to get swept away in.
3.5 stars.
